Formby and Crosby

On Wednesday Steve and I drove to Formby hoping to see some red squirrels.  We happened to park right by a feeding station and in it was the most beautiful red squirrel.

Bingo we were so happy. While we were photoing away a magnificent jay came our way. That was the first time I’d seen one of those colourful birds. Steven took a photo but it flew away at the same time he clicked on the shutter. Though it was in the frame later on when we looked there was no jay alas!  Then we continued  to the sand dunes where we met other holidaymakers some were running afer their children while others were dragging their dogs. No rain just a but of wind.  Back in the pinéde we noticed a fair amount of mushrooms which I believe were not fit for consumption.  Have an excellent weekend.
