Visiting Oxford

DSCN1943DSCN1948DSCN1936DSCN1951

These photos were taken the first days of our visit when it was not raining. Today it’s pouring so we’ve found shelter in the Eagle and child pub where C.S. Lewis used to meet with his brother, W.H.Lewis, J. Tolkien, Charles Williams and other friends every Tuesday morning between 1939 and 1962. They were known as the Inklings. Nearby, I bought another book of C S Lewis, scripts of his BBC talks about Christian behaviour. I started reading them yesterday. I have been plodding on and nearly finished my essay on theological reflection and wherever I go, Laurie Green’s Let’s do theology comes with me for my great pleasure, I must say.

We’ve just had lunch there and I recommend the ultimate burger (Steven finished his, I could not so we asked for it to be wrap up lol)

Have a blessed day.
