Tonight I thought I’d try to bake dark chocolate nutty cookies! I found a recipe that Imogen wrote ages ago and I left it in the chocolate drawer for the special day.! Here they are! Steven and I just shared one and without boasting I’d say it was delicious!
On that film..Scorched, I say not bad at all actually, very funny!
Steven says: very slow, the last 15 minutes were all right! George says hello!
My internet stopped working because I’ve run out of space on my hard drive ran out! So I started to move some folders manually; and it didn’t make much difference! So I’ve had to move lots of folders and guess what, it’s going to take ages! No problem! It’s Friday evening the only day when Steven and I watch TV! We are watching Scorched, an american film about a bank robbery and so far it is pretty weird but i suppose there is potential. There is that guy who gets spit at by his pet lizard ? John Cleese just appeared! In any case just in case the film is a bore I always do something else so I’m talking to you in the cyberspace and if you think about it this is rather extraordinary.. but so addictive.. I hope you are having a blessed Friday evening!
Yesterday I took a walk to not only shake a few pounds but stimulate my brain. As I’m enjoying the fresh air, I am struck by the wide variety of trees and leaves and how beautiful they all are.
It then occurs to me, why can’t we appreciate people the same way?
The woods I walk past are God planted, not man-made. The trees appear randomly placed. There are all kinds, shapes and colors. Some are evergreen magnolias, short scrub oaks, lanky pines and majestic maples. There are even more I can’t even name.
A few of them shed their leaves months ago. Others are in various states and transform daily. Some are unchanging yet provide the backdrop for the dynamic show.
I suspect God planted these different trees together for reason. Not that I will ever know what that is, but it certainly makes for a spectacular show.

This is my friend Di and I at the Green Man in Hixon and Imogen is taking the photo! The second photo is in a restaurant called Pasta di piazza in Stone. We went there on Sunday for a celebration meal, Steven is in the fourth photo. The third photo shows Mollie and Imogen in the Green Man this same evening as in the first photo! The photo of the bonfire was taken at our friends Nicolas and Dennis in Chartley Manor where we had a great time! 🙂
The last day of our hols in Norfolk where we’ve had a relaxing time. Tonight the chef prepared wonderful diner number 5: mussels and king prawns; we bought them at Brancaster on the way back from Wells-on-Sea. After diner I read half of the chapter Being for Blessing 1
I find it extraordinary to discover some of the powerful writings of Julian of Norwich. She talks about the Lord ‘in his love he clothes us, enfolds and embraces us; that tender love completely surrounds us never to leave us. As I saw it he is everything that is good. Reading about the love of our Lord for us his beloved creatures always makes me emotional..and fills me with joy! Have a blessed evening!
