Five reasons to holiday in Wales

1 – Beautiful weather especially if you  are going in May

2- Caring family if you happen to have any living there especially in the rainbow Rhonda valley.

3- Hearing most people speaking Welsh will make you think you are abroad.

4- Lovers of photography, some wild nature and rugged scenery welcome you.

5- Quaint architecture, exquisite food, and a sense of well being.

One of my favourite gospel songs!

It’s called The heart of worship and written by Matt Redman.

When the music fades
All is stripped away
And I simply come
Longing just to bring
Something that’s of worth
That will bless your heart
I’ll bring you more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what you have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You’re looking into my heart

I’m coming back to the heart of worship
And it’s all about you,
It’s all about you, Jesus
I’m sorry, Lord, for the thing I’ve made it
When it’s all about you,
It’s all about you, Jesus

King of endless worth
No one could express
How much you deserve
Though I’m weak and poor
All I have is yours
Every single breath
I’ll bring you more than a song
For a song in itself
Is not what you have required
You search much deeper within
Through the way things appear
You’re looking into my heart

I’m coming back to the heart of worship
And it’s all about you,
It’s all about you, Jesus
I’m sorry, lord, for the thing I’ve made it
And it’s all about you,
It’s all about you, Jesus

I’m coming back to the heart of worship,
And it’s all about you,
It’s all about you, Jesus
I’m sorry, Lord, for the thing I’ve made it
And it’s all about you,
It’s all about you, Jesus

It’s all about you
It’s all about you
It’s all about you
It’s all about you
It’s all about you
It’s all about you

It’s all about you
It’s all about you
It’s all about you
It’s all about you

I’m coming back to the heart of worship
And it’s all about you,
It’s all about you, Jesus
I’m sorry, lord, for the thing I’ve made it
And it’s all about you,
It’s all about you, Jesus

So, what is your favorite gospel song?

I have marking to do and I started it late, however I am blessed. As I am marking, I am listening to some beautiful gospel songs on Youtube, discovering new ones too!  Have a blessed evening!

Soup for a change!

wpid-wp-1431348172896.jpeg

Ingredients
1-2 TBSP olive oil
1 medium red onion, chopped
2 TBSP finely minced fresh ginger root
3 big carrots, peeled and cubed
1 big potato, peeled and cubed

one small eggplant
3 cups stock (plus more water if needed)
fresh coriander
salt, to taste
freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

In a pan, add olive oil and onions and cook on medium to high heat until translucent.
Add ginger and cook for 30 seconds.
Add carrots and sweet potato and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring.
Add stock (and more water if needed to cover the veggies) and bring to a boil. Once it’s boiling, lower heat, season with salt, pepper and simmer until carrots and potato are tender. Add coriander and wait for a few minutes.
Turn off heat and allow soup to partially cool, then add it to the blender and puree it.

Last time I ventured in the strange world of soups, nobody at home liked it and I wasn’t impressed. This time it turns out to be ‘délicieuse’! So thanks to Chris and to my friend Celia who encouraged me in the first place!

I adapted this recipe  that you can find on Chris’ blog!

Finally the verse of the week; Matthew 6:38,  this verse has been in my head all week!

But seek first His kingdom and his righteousness and all thses things will be given to you as well!

And I have done lots of thinking and praying…

Have a blessed and relaxing week-end!

You are Beautiful

What is truly important and why do we people look at ourselves through a magnifying mirror? Sadly sometimes we look at others under a magnifying mirror also.

A Story By Me

image_editor_share_1431188786314

This morning I was putting on my makeup using my magnifying makeup mirror.  As I put on my eye makeup I started to notice all the creases and crinkles around my eyes. I see my face everyday but for some reason today the wrinkles seemed to jump right out at me.

After seeing the wrinkles I began to see all kinds of tiny imperfections in my skin … I saw a pimple, my eyebrows had an occasional straggling hair in the wrong place, and If that wasn’t bad enough I also noticed that I seemed to have giant pores and my eyelashes were thinner in some places than others.

The more and more up I looked at myself the more I found wrong.  I then found myself correcting my eyeliner to try to open my eyes up more. I then got out the tweezers to pluck the straggling misplaced eyebrows and I actually tried to…

From The Proverbs…

Friday

This morning I heard my hubby praising the Lord for a sunny weather on his day off. He planned to plant various seeds and didn’t fancy moving cold soil! Before planting he built a special gate that hasn’t got any hinges to stop our two rabbits to go in the vegetable patch to be! image How do we protect our heart against the upsets that assail us daily? It took some time before Steven realised that the rabbits loved digging the soft soil and feeding on the new tender shoots. Spending time with the Lord asking Him to explain the why and what of a difficult situation is the first vital step. It may take a while especially if you are like me, a bit slow..

Secondly, I find patience a must! Steven’s idea to protect our veggie patch never disappeared but for a reason or another whether it was the weather or the lack of wood, he couldn’t get on his task. Reading the Word helps us to focus on the Lord’s timing. The Lord is ‘faithful and he will not let you be tested beyond our strength’ ( 1Corinthians 10-13)

Thirdly, thinking outside the box could be the answer!

The question is ‘Could it be that I am partly responsible for this situation that upsets me. The ‘if I ‘ comes to our humble mind but it’s too late so knowing that our Saviour restores our life and He is our sentinel we say sorry in true repentance and ask the Holy Spirit to comfort us and guide us.

Have a peaceful and blessed week-end!
