First Oxford

Last week, my Parisian cousin Clo came to visit us, so I went to pick her up at Birmingham on a Friday morning. It was a disaster, there was a massive traffic jam up to Walsall where I decided I should leave the M6. Google satnav took me to the next junction and it was not so heavy but I was late! In the evening we had a bbq of course. On Saturday Steven drove us to Oxford where we had a fantastic time even though it was raining! First we went to the Eagle and Child where C.S. Lewis used to meet his friend Tolkien, and then we took Clo round the colleges, the market and the high street.

  1. Yet another coincidence Nicky. I lived in Oxford for a while -in St Clements. Strange city if you live there. Full of tourists and students – gives the feeling of a transient life. Not a place to settle somehow. But of course, it has amazing architecture!! Be blessed – Reuben
