In the West, we have this delusion that we are in control!

We are not in charge, we are not in control, ..we can have ideas of what we want to do..

Ensure that all your plans are prayers…commit your plans to the Lord…if the Lord will

  1. I’ve heard it said that if you want to make God laugh, tell Him your plans. I think there’s a lot of truth in that, but more importantly, humans are very good at assuming control of their lives and trying to wrest it from God’s grasp where it belongs.

What people don’t understand, however is that the control they think they have is only an illusion ~ or, as you said so well, a delusion. I’ve learned the hard way that we need to let God have the control that rightly belonged to Him in the first place. He must be sovereign in our lives, otherwise we will find ourselves struggling against the One who created us, which is a dumb thing to do,

What sorrow awaits those who try to hide their plans from the LORD, who do their evil deeds in the dark! “The LORD can’t see us,” they say. “He doesn’t know what’s going on!” How foolish can you be? He is the Potter, and he is certainly greater than you, the clay! Should the created thing say of the one who made it, “He didn’t make me”? Does a jar ever say, “The potter who made me is stupid”? ~ Isaiah 29:15-16, NLT.

I really like what you had to say! Keep up the good work!

The ‘difficulty’ is that sometimes, we dont realise that we want to stay in control ..Thanks for the encouragement sister sarah!
