Encouraging each other!

Encouraging each other when we meet brothers and sisters in Christ isn’t always easy, it does require courage and this courage comes from the Lord. We read in Isaiah 41:10 ‘Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.’

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:6-7

I have noticed that depending on who talks to you in a difficult situation, you can be encouraged or on the contrary you can be submerged by fear! One needs to have discernment in a difficult situation and ask the Lord for help! Talk to the Lord our God in prayer. Take the time amidst problems to speak and listen to Holy Spirit!

Steven and I went to Paris to visit my relative, Robert and his family. We had a great time. On the 31st of December, my phone that was in my parka pocket disappeared. Steven was in front of me taking photos. All I heard is a weird noise, a kind of airy whistling, I checked on my phone and it wasn’t there. We had to go to the police station and also block my bank card. All that was ‘annoying’. However two days ago, someone sent me three of the missing cards that I’d put in the phone cover! The truth I was praying that somehow my cards would come back, and praise the Lord, they did. Wow it was great! I truly believe that our Father in heaven is concerned in all our personal situations! He knows everything about us and He loves us.

I’ll conclude with this passage in Romans 15 about encouragement and +

15 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please our neighbors for their good, to build them up. For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: “The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me.”[a] For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God. For I tell you that Christ has become a servant of the Jews[b] on behalf of God’s truth, so that the promises made to the patriarchs might be confirmed and, moreover, that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written:

“Therefore I will praise you among the Gentiles;
    I will sing the praises of your name.”[c]

Have a blessed New Year 2022 blessed with Godly peace and love in the mighty name of Jesus-Christ. Amen!
