Church is boring for most because the power of God has vanished from many congregations … there is a lack of desire to pursue Him in the pulpit as well as in the pew. Like Samson, they “know not that the Spirit of the Lord has departed” (cf. Judge 16:20). High attendance is not […]
Since I’ve started teaching in September in Angoulême, I have stopped going to the choir on Tuesday night. Lately I have changed bible study group, instead of Thursday night I go on Wednesday afternoon. I’ve had to organise myself in the morning since I need to get out of the house at 6:30 am and no later. In fact after the February hols, I missed my train. I had to drive all the way to Angoulême and I was so tired in the evening.
I am so grateful to the Lord for all the blessings he pours on us day after day. He is patient and full of compassion. I say this because as I am growing old, I realise how frail we are and that somehow I am still around thanks to Jesus amazing love and grace.
For He Himself knows our frame; He is mindful that we are but dust. Psalm 103 v 14
Such a sunny day
So let’s go out
For a peaceful walk
A stroll by the castle
Let’s cross the river
And watch the ducks have fun
Then pause for a drink at the Blue Café
A psalm of David.
1 The Lord is my shepherd,(A) I lack nothing.(B)
2 He makes me lie down in green pastures,
he leads me beside quiet waters,(C)
3 he refreshes my soul.(D)
He guides me(E) along the right paths(F)
for his name’s sake.(G)
4 Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,[a](H)
I will fear no evil,(I)
for you are with me;(J)
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.
After thinking about it for weeks, we decided to visit the girls and spend Christmas in England. It was great to meet up first with Im and Cam in London and then Vez and her hubbie Mike in Bolton. No need to tell you that those 8 days flew!
We drove to Dieppe through rain and it was hard because the road seemed to be covered by a sheet of ice. Four hours later we arrived in Newhaven. Then we arrived in Haringey an hour and a half later! It was busy but not too busy if you see what I mean. We couldn’t find our hotel even though Steven put the post code in the Satnav. The manager of the hotel told us later that it was not the firt time people failed to locate his hotel because of it.
Then Im came to see us, it was lovely to see her. The last time I saw her was when we went to Malta together with Cam!
La suite au prochain numéro! lol
